Swansea Classical Guitar Circle

An opportunity for classical guitar players

(adult beginners and experienced players)

starting September 2025

Here’s a great opportunity for those who play the classical guitar - for over 18 beginners and advanced players - to join the Swansea Classical Guitar Circle, one of the most successful community guitar circles in the UK.

 

We have two well established ensembles, several regular duos, trios and quartets and we arrange six concerts a year for the public plus our own workshops. There is a wide range of classical guitar music played - both traditional and modern and different genres.

 

The Circle has two weekly practice ensembles - one for newer or less experienced players and one for the higher grades. Both are very friendly and welcoming and there is ample opportunity to learn and play in a relaxed environment. We perform these works at our Winter and Summer Concerts.

 

We would welcome new playing members (over 18 years) to join us and September is a very good time of the year to start. New members get teamed up with a suitable ’buddy’ to help get settled in and to answer questions etc.

There is no commitment and you are welcome to come along for a few sessions, as an observer or playing, before joining up.
