Our Leader - Sylvia Barker
Sylvia Barker-de Boer is an accomplished teacher and guitarist. She studied in the Netherlands, gaining a BMus for Teaching Music. Since living in Wales she has taken part in masterclasses with John Mills, Berta Rojas, Gary Ryan, Craig Ogden, Xuefei Yang and David Russell.
Sylvia has helped put Swansea firmly on the international classical guitar map.
Sylvia teaches the guitar from beginner through advanced, for young and old. You can study for grade exams for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Honorary President - John Mills
John Mills (retired) taught generations of guitarists at the RCM and RAM in London, and at the RWCMD in Cardiff.
He has played as a soloist in over 25 countries and continues to tour, perform, record and premiere new works.
Our members
We have around 25 playing members. We range in age from our 40s to "prefer not to say!" but we are all young at heart. We welcome new members who are 18 plus and willing to learn and contribute to our little family.
Our Friends and Supporters
We also have a team of friends and family, who support us in many ways, volunteering their time, expertise and advice. From pitching in behind the scenes at concerts, helping with advertising and marketing, to taking images and recordings for us we are so grateful for all that they do and could not do it without them.
